Besides drawing inspiration from painters and sculptors, jewelry designer Lyndsay Caleo credits nature`s ultimate design for the cohesive natural systems found in her jewelry. From purposeful shapes to camouflaging colors, Caleo`s designs conceal function in beauty, while losing nothing in translation.
Caleo attributes the simplicity and clean aesthetic of her designs to a longstanding fascination with Scandinavian design and Primitive art. Early on, she brought elements of these genres into her sculpture, and then perfected her signature style by training as a goldsmith at the renowned Rhode Island School of Design.
Never driven by trend, Caleo allows her jewelry designs to develop organically at her New York City studio.
