100 Acts (And Then Some) Of Kindness Later, Tivol Pulls The Curtain On Centennial Year
Tivol Staff Close Out A Year Full Of Thanks And Gratitude
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (January, 2011) – After a year full of good deeds, community outreach and extreme gratitude, Tivol ends its centennial celebration and looks forward to the next one hundred years in the community. Putting the exclamation on 2010 and its “100 Acts of Kindness” campaign, Tivol staff ventured into the community and extended their philanthropic arms during a month of family, friends and holidays.
December Acts:
Beneficiary: St. James Place Community Kitchen mission is to feed the hungry of midtown Kansas City. It provides food for over 600 families from its food pantry and serves over 4000 hot meals through its soup kitchen.
Participation:Tivol was a sponsor of the Sponsor-A-Meal program.
Beneficiary:Ozanam responds to the behavioral, emotional, social and spiritual needs of children and their families with dignity and care, providing a continuum of innovative services of the highest quality. Since it first opened its doors in 1948, Ozanam has helped more than 6,000 children get their lives back on track.
Participation: Tivol committed to make a donation to benefit the organization.
Beneficiary:The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art presents modern and contemporary art of the highest quality and significance. It collects, preserves, documents, interprets, and exhibits a growing permanent collection; develops and presents special exhibitions; and offers a variety of educational programs.
Participation: Tivol hosted the event at its Country Club Plaza location.
Tivol committed to make a donation to benefit the organization.
Beneficiary:Marine Toys For Tots Foundation’s mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Participation: Tivol was a partner for the Toys For Tots campaign.
