Tivol Ushers In Summer With Continued Community Outreach
Tivol Extends Kindness Beyond Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July, 2010) – Tivol brought the heat in June to welcome summer with more charitable giving as it celebrates its centennial all year with ‘100 Acts Of Kindness”, a staff-driven campaign in which Tivol engages with various causes throughout the community to which it has called home for 100 years. In June, Tivol partnered with community organizations to move forward in its quest toward 100. June also marked Tivol expanding its philanthropic reach beyond the Kansas City metro area to actively engage with its regional client base.
June Acts:
Beneficiary: Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City provides a fun and safe environment for youth, ages 5-18, to learn, play, meet new friends and grow. From sports, digital arts and media, to group activities and tutoring, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City provides top-quality programs to thousands of area youth each day.
Participation: Tivol committed to make a donation to benefit the organization.
Beneficiary: The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - Young Friends of Art caters to young professionals in their 20s and 30s looking to meet new people, have fun and support arts and culture in Kansas City, such as the museum’s newest exhibit, “Edward Steichen In High Fashion.” The exhibit showcases the photographic masterpieces of Steichen, one of the most prolific, influential and controversial figures in photography’s history.
Participation: Tivol was a sponsor of the Second Friday’s happy hour.
Beneficiary: Saint Luke’s Health System is a faith-based, not-for-profit aligned health system committed to the highest levels of excellence in providing health care and health related services in a caring environment. It is dedicated to enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual health of the communities we serve.
Participation: Tivol committed to make a donation to benefit the organization.
Beneficiary: St. Joseph, Missouri YWCA is a women’s membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values. Strengthened by diversity, the Association draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women’s growth, leadership and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.
Participation: Tivol was a sponsor of the Women of Excellence awards luncheon.
Beneficiary: Operation Breakthrough’s mission is to help children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment. It also strives to support and empower the children's families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.
Participation: Tivol committed to make a donation to benefit the organization. Support through attendance.
Beneficiary: The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park is dedicated to the enrichment of the community through support of the arts, the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead and the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
