Tivol has always been pleased to support a wide range of worthy causes in the Kansas City community.
Mollie Tivol, the much-loved mother of Harold Tivol and grandmother of Cathy Tivol, passed way from Alzheimer’s disease in 1992. Since that time, the Tivol family – and their company – have actively supported the Heart of America chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
To honor the memory of Mrs. Tivol, the family helped create the Mollie Tivol Alzheimer’s Family Resource Center. The center operates under the umbrella of the Alzheimer’s Association and serves local families struggling with the disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association started a golf tournament in 1992 that was named the Tivol Classic in recognition of the Tivol’s ongoing support. This annual event continues to support the association’s important work in our community.
